Activision’s Call of Duty is quite simply, massive. It’s the world’s biggest entertainment franchise and since it launched in 2004 has amassed total sales of over $15 billion.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is the 15th major title and once again, Activision looked to us to deliver the global digital campaign. From the reveal and leading up to the launch, we produced and delivered a vast array of digital content, including hundreds of ad placements across 25 territories and 15 languages. This was all managed by our in-house digital display platform –LaunchCTRL.
We also promoted the game during several key industry events including E3, Comic-Con, and Gamescom, building display creative and content to be shared across key social channels. These efforts supported the Black Ops 4 reveal trailers to amass over 25 million views on YouTube within the first few months of their publishing.
Activision’s noted rise in pre-orders and social engagement indicate that Black Ops 4 is the most hotly-anticipated release of 2018.
