Run India with World Vision.
$150,000 raised for World Vision.82 pieces of media coverage.
Samantha Gash, one of Australia’s best female ultramarathon runners, embarked on a 76 day run from west to east India covering 3200 kms for World Vision’s 50th Anniversary and to raise money for projects that tackle barriers to quality education, an issue close to her heart. How could she spread the word of this big feat?
We managed all of Samantha’s PR for the run, working with World Vision Australia’s special project and PR team.
We developed key messaging and a PR strategy that covered 4 phases of the run targeting mainstream, health & lifestyle media. Samantha ran across some of the most desolate regions in India so coordinating media opportunities during the run required advanced preparation and skilful timing.
- 82 pieces of media coverage was secured across Australian and some Indian media, including national coverage across HuffPost Australia, Times of India, Herald Sun, The Australian, ABC News Radio, ABC News Breakfast, SBS World News and The Daily Edition.
