How can we get better at football?
When so many brands have a connection to the beautiful game, how could Screwfix talk about football in a way that was ownable?
It’s a funny old game
Footballers and tradespeople both pride themselves on doing a great job. So our idents drew these two worlds together by appropriating the language of football to the world of construction.
Over the moon
Our idea was to equate performance on the pitch with performance on site.
So we showed tradespeople being interviewed as if they’d just scored a hat-trick as opposed to re-plastering a wall.
They shoot, they score
A Job Well Done was centred on the idents, but also hit the back of the net in a range of National Press titles.
